Knitterella on TV

Recently I found out the I'm going to have the opportunity to be on TV! Yes, Knitterella on TV and I'm so excited (and nervous)! There is an awesome, local group in my area called Great Lakes Bay Moms. They are going on my local TV25 morning news next Monday the 17th and are going to talk about the importance of bundling up yourself and kids during these cold Michigan winter months. The Great Lakes Bay Moms were looking for a knitter that could share his/her insight on this subject and the knitter they found was me! Since bundling up with handknits is my favorite way to dress myself and my kids I was so on board! Along with featuring my own knitting patterns I also will be talking about all the resources found online for knitters/crocheters. I'm going to showcase samples of fun and stylish knitted/crocheted hats that are made from FREE patterns found online. I will be posting links to these patterns once the episode is aired so viewers can start casting on. Sounds like fun, don't you think?

Right now I'm trying to knit as much as I can. On the needles now, is a Cheery Scrap Hat from Tot Toppers - SO cute! What are your favorite FREE patterns for baby/child hats? I need to knit up as many samples as I can and FAST!

I love the Aviatrix for babies. Knits up QUICK in worsted weight yarn, looks good on every baby regardless of gender, and the strap helps it stay on their little heads. I put my son in his all the time!

Congratulations! How fun is that? I rarely watch the news but that's my local station so I'll try to remember to catch it. God luck!

That is SO COOL -- congratulations!! I love the Norwegian Sweet Baby Cap and Aviatrix. (And in the non-free category, Wee Woolly Toppers by Woolly Wormhead is my favorite set of patterns EVER. I've made one million of them. Which has ended up being quite cost effective!)
